ReelGrab won't let you peek at someone's private stories — those belong to the people the account holder approved. If the account is private, we tell you so and fetch nothing.
Photo stories come back as JPGs, video stories as MP4s with their sound. Music added to a photo story plays in the app but isn't part of the photo, so it isn't in the file. A boomerang saves as a short MP4. Stickers, polls and mentions are drawn by the app on top of the story, so they aren't in the file either.
If a creator pinned stories to their highlights, paste the highlight link and save the whole highlight as one zip, every photo and video clip numbered in order. A link to one item in a highlight saves that item, with the whole highlight one tap away as a zip. A highlight too large for one zip saves item by item.

No. ReelGrab never asks you to log in and never uses your Instagram account, so saving a story here doesn't add you to its viewer list. What Instagram records on its own side is outside our control.
Only if the creator pinned them to highlights. Once a story rolls off after 24 hours and isn't pinned, Instagram deletes it — there's nothing left for us to fetch.
